Start the blade by pushing the lever. Then the spring takes effect, and pushes the blade open.
This 3" blade has a black titanium nitride coating and has a safety switch to prevent accidental opening.
There is also an aluminum pocket clip on the back, as well as a glass breaker on the end of the handle.
