Whether you are planning your next backpacking adventure or preparing an emergency survival kit, one of the considerations that must be addressed is the question; What will be required to cook and serve meals on the trail in the outdoors or in an emergency shelter after a natural disaster has struck?
If you backpack or go camping regularly you may not wish to use your home cookware and would rather have their camping cookware separate. There is also a weight consideration to be addressed when you are carrying everything in your pack. Usually the cookware at home is not the best for outdoors.
If you are assembling an emergency survival kit or Go-Bag, everything should already be in your kit, as there may not be time to sort through your home pots and pans when an evacuation order is issued.
