If you backpack or go camping regularly you may not wish to use your home cookware and would rather have their camping cookware separate. There is also a weight consideration to be addressed when you are carrying everything in your pack. Usually the cookware at home is not the best for outdoors.
If you are assembling an emergency survival kit or Go-Bag, everything should already be in your kit, as there may not be time to sort through your home pots and pans when an evacuation order is issued. This is the reason that government and disaster preparedness organizations state that a properly prepared evacuation / disaster kit must be complete, and ready at a moments notice.
